What to Expect

Welcome to Heritage

Heritage Baptist Church isn’t a building – we’re a community of people on a growing journey with Jesus. We don’t claim to have it all figured out and we recognize that each of us is in a different spot on that journey. From those just curious about Jesus, to those starting to connect with their relationship with Him, to those fully committed to that pursuit – everyone is welcome here!

Whatever your thoughts on church, whatever your beliefs about God, we invite you to be our guest at one of our Sunday worship services. Come as you are. Feel free to sit quietly and reflect or be fully engaged.

We love meeting new friends, so stop by our Welcome Center in the lobby for a free gift this Sunday.

What happens on Sunday mornings?

First-time guests, please stop at the Welcome Center in the foyer for information and a gift!

Our regular Sunday morning schedule includes two identical services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Each Sunday, you will experience a welcoming environment, engaging music and a thought-provoking message (Listen to the latest sermons here). In a typical worship service, you’ll be challenged and encouraged by videos, music, interaction, and biblical preaching. We also offer a fully-staffed nursery and classes for people of all ages during both services. Come and join us for a Sunday service, and then discover the other ways to grow at Heritage.

What are the other opportunities for my family on Sunday mornings?

Children, teens, college students, and adults will enjoy meeting new friends in our Sunday morning family ministries. Attend the worship service that fits your schedule, then join a class during the opposite hour. Stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby or ask one of our friendly greeters for more information, or check out our Adult Bible Fellowships.

What should I do with my kids?

SonSeekers is a safe, fun, and educational environment for kids birth through 4th grade on Sunday mornings. Once you check your kids in at the entrance to our children’s wing, they can stay there all morning. Of course, you’re also free to have your children with you in the worship service. All of our children’s workers have undergone background checks and been trained prior to volunteering.

Is there something for teenagers?

Teenagers (5-12 grade) attend the first worship service, at 9:00 am, and then head downstairs to the youth wing for our Heritage Student Ministries gathering. All of our youth workers have undergone background checks and been trained prior to volunteering.

Are college students welcome at Heritage?

We love college students! There are more than a dozen colleges and universities within a short drive of Heritage, and we welcome students from everywhere. College-age friends are invited to join our Crossroads class downstairs in the youth wing on Sundays at 9 am, and then attend the worship service at 10:30 am. Check out the other opportunities for college students here.

What should I wear?

We’d love for you to wear whatever is modest and comfortable. You’ll find plenty of people dressed casually (t-shirts, shorts, jeans) and others dressed a little snazzier (slacks, dresses, skirts). Just come as you are.
