Rich Benedict

I was privileged to be born into a Godly, Christian home where Christ was honored, and the principles of God’s Word followed and taught. I heard the Gospel at an early age and through the testimony of my parents, I received Christ as my Savior when I was a boy. I was subsequently baptized and became active in my church. As a teen, I attended High Point Bible camp where God used that ministry to call me into full-time ministry to be a Christian School teacher. Through God’s leading, I became an education major at Bob Jones University and then Baptist Bible College, where I graduated in 1978. I taught math for thirty-one years until recently when God redirected my path. I am blessed to have a wonderful wife, Susan, who has been a tremendous help and encouragement. We have three amazing children who love the Lord and serve Him faithfully. We now have four grandchildren with a fifth due any day. It is my heart’s desire to be a willing and available servant. I have served in various capacities—a deacon for eighteen years with most of those as the chairman, Sunday School teacher, ABF teacher, Awana Director, and a VBS worker/teacher. We have been members of Heritage since 2011 and have been active since. I am presently co-teaching in the First Light ABF and I am the Games Director for the Awana ministry. In the summers, I have been involved with VBS. It is my passion to be a blessing to the Lord and others.
